Weta Cave
The colours that were standing out to me at Weta Cave were the grey/greens of the rock walls around the foyer area. The models and characters there also exude a lot of grey and brown tones. Another colour that was prominent while I was having a look around the Weta website was the bright orange that they use for the banner and various other elements around the website.
Embassy Theatre
The colours that stood out at the Embassy Theatre were the deep burgundy trims around the outside of most of the windows and the main banner. Inside the building there is a lot of cream on the walls and ceilings and nice gold railings on the main staircase. The main colour that I took away was the deep red seats in the cinema I was in. Although the seats are not only red as there are also purple seats in the other cinema rooms.
Film Archive
At the Film Archive the colour that struck me before I even walked in was the bright red writing on the outside of the building. Upon entering, the bright orange on the wall in the cafe area was another colour that stood out to me, as well as the grey floors and couches. But the colour that stood out to me the most was the bright green used on the content in the media archive area.
After thinking about it I think that I will use the colour combination of orange, red and green across my spreads, with each colour representing different locations and different words Create, Enjoy, Preserve. I think that grey might also be a colour I use for the more neutral area of the brochure like the introduction page for example.
